The families of young people missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an excruciating wait for answers and pleading for any details about their children publicly.

The fire devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of January 1st. Verified images show the roof structure igniting as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. A spokesperson noted on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts still underway to identify the final individuals.
