Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This incident isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
